PODCAST PROMPT
Create an engaging 10–15-minute educational podcast for UiTM students in Malaysia.
Course: [Insert course name and code]
Topic: [Insert topic]
Source materials: [Attach notes, slides or readings]
Use a conversation between two hosts: a friendly lecturer who explains concepts and a curious student who asks realistic questions. Use clear Malaysian English, a natural speaking pace and a warm, respectful tone.
Structure the podcast as follows:
Start with a hook: Introduce a relatable situation or problem that shows why the topic matters.
Set learning goals: Briefly explain three things students should understand by the end.
Explain the key concepts: Cover three to five main ideas from the materials. Explain technical terms in plain language while retaining the terminology students need for assessments.
Connect theory to practice: Use familiar Malaysian examples, such as campus activities, online shopping, small businesses or workplace situations.
Address misconceptions: Discuss two or three common misunderstandings and explain the correct reasoning.
Include a mini case: Present a short scenario and ask students what they would do and why. Invite them to pause before the hosts discuss a suggested answer.
Check understanding: Ask three questions—one recall question (C1), one understanding question (C2) and one application question (C3). Encourage students to pause and answer before explaining each response.
Close with a recap: Summarise five key takeaways and give one brief reflection task.
Assume students have basic knowledge from earlier semesters but may need reminders. Encourage them to explain, question and apply ideas rather than memorise answers.
Base factual explanations on the supplied materials. Clearly label invented examples as illustrations. Do not invent facts, references or course requirements. If a point is unclear in the materials, acknowledge the limitation.
Make the podcast sound like a thoughtful conversation rather than a lecture being read aloud. Keep each exchange focused and avoid unnecessary repetition.
