Course Expectations
Purpose: This one‑page guide sets clear expectations so we can learn efficiently and respectfully together.
1) Access to Course Materials
- Platform: All lecture notes, readings, announcements, and assignments are on ACC466 Blog
- Notes also provided. Any updates will be notified.
- Student Action: Check blog at least 2–3 times per week
- Do Self Test after each class.
2) Communication Channels
- Blog (Primary): For questions, discussion, and official Lesson Management.
- WhatsApp Group (Supplementary): Quick reminders and logistics only.
- Phone Calls (Urgent only): For time‑sensitive matters (e.g., emergencies affecting deadlines/attendance).
* Note: Keep communication respectful and concise. Share solutions openly on the forum so everyone benefits.
3) Communication with the Lecturer
- Course Expectations & Schedule: Overview shared in Week 1 and kept current on ACC466 Blog.
- Changes to Schedule: Announced via Blog (primary) and mirrored to WhatsApp.
- Regular Engagement: Participate in class weekly; ask, clarify, and help peers.
- Response Window to whatapps: I aim to acknowledge whatapps queries within 24–48 hours on working days. Call for very urgent/time‑sensitive matters
4) Be Prepared
- Attendance: 100% attendance is expected for all sessions.
- Participation: Come prepared (pre‑readings done) and contribute to discussions, polls, and activities.
- Expect the Unexpected: Bring flexibility or activities may adapt to class needs and progress.
5) General Rules
- Punctuality: Be on time. Repeated lateness may affect participation marks (where applicable).
- Academic Integrity (Plagiarism): Submit your own work and cite sources properly. Suspected cases follow university procedures.
- Submission on Time: Follow due dates on Lesson Plan/blog.
- If you anticipate a delay, inform earlier (2 days before the deadline) with a valid reason.
- Late submissions without prior notice may not be accepted or may incur penalties per programme guidelines.
6) Late or absent:
- Inform as early as possible (before class) WhatsApp or Phone call (urgent) , stating reason and any supporting proof if applicable.
- Catch up via blog materials and Whatapps group.
