The LAB TEST will consist of TWO (2) parts:
(i) PART A – Spreadsheet Software
Students are required to demonstrate effective use of spreadsheet software to solve accounting
problems related to sustainability.
Students should be able to:
- enter and organise data correctly
- use basic formulas (SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX)
- analyse the data to support decision-making
- create a simple chart
- show how the solution supports efficient and sustainable use of resources
(Rubric: 5 marks)
(ii) PART B – Database Software
Students are required to demonstrate effective use of database software to solve accounting problems
related to sustainability.
Students should be able to:
- create tables with appropriate fields
- define data types correctly
- create relationships between tables
- build queries to answer questions
- generate a report
- Show how your solution helps improve efficiency and sustainability
(Rubric: 10 marks)
